Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. is widely considered the greatest Boxer to ever walk the earth and now he’s thinking about bringing his talents to the UFC octagon. Floyd was recently offered a 4 fight deal for 1.3 billion dollars to fight 3 warm up fights and finish with his 4th fight versus Conor McGregor under UFC rules. UFC president Dana White spoke about the offer with ESPN:

Dana White:

“We’re talking to Floyd about doing a UFC deal,” White told ESPN. “It’s real. He was talking about [boxing] Conor McGregor. Was that real? Have you heard Floyd talk about many things that aren’t real? He usually tips his hand when he’s in the media, and then that s— ends up happening.

“We’re interested in doing something with Floyd. Everything is a realistic possibility. Mayweather vs. McGregor f—ing happened. Anything is possible.”

Floyd Mayweather:
“Exactly what I said is this: If I could make over a billion dollars before, I could do it again,” Mayweather said Wednesday in response to White’s comments. “If I chose to get in the UFC and fight three fights or fight four fights and then fight Conor McGregor, I could make a billion dollars. Which I can. I could do it in three fights or even four fights — I could make a billion dollars if I choose to get in the Octagon and fight.”

What fans fail to realize about all this, is that Floyd has been secretly working on his wrestling and grappling skills for almost 5 years now. We spoke with an Olympian who wrestled for the USA Olympic team on 3 different occasions who has been getting paid by Mayweather to train him for nearly 5 years now. The Wrestler wanted to remain nameless and answered a few questions for us through a Mayweather representative. Check it out.

“Floyd’s team hit us up back around 2012 after the London Olympics. They said Floyd was interested in MMA and thinking about doing a crossover fight and wanted me to train him. They offered me a hefty sum and I signed a NDA to keep the training private.” The wrestler explained when asked how he and Floyd began.

“Nobody trains like Floyd, in Wrestling we go hard! and Floyd has that Wrestling mentality, he never stops and his competitiveness is on the next level. He didn’t start with a huge ego like you would expect from Floyd, he listens well and learns fast.”

“Trust me when I say this, people will be surprised when they try to take him down, to be honest, we spend most of our time working on defense, take down defense and getting back up as soon as he hits the floor. His offensive Wrestling is not that great to be real with you but people will have a hell of a time trying to get him down. He’s not a world class wrestler but his takedown defense is world class, this man learns so fast, he could have won a Gold Medal an any sport.”

Check back for Part 2 of the interview tomorrow.
