BREAKING NEWS | Tyron Woodley Returns At UFC 215 & Not Versus Demian Maia
UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley is looking for an exciting comeback fight after winning a closely contested decision over Wonderboy Thompson earlier this year. Fans were disappointed in how technical the fight was and Woodley received a lot of hate for his performance. Looking to bounce back as soon as possible Woodley already began training camp for a fight in the summer with the winner of Demian Maia versus Jorge Masvidal. Maia won the fight and was offered the title shot but he turned it down. Apparently, Maia needs time to heal and have a sort of vacation as he wants time off. Maia would not be ready to compete until the fall. But the UFC has another opponent in mind.
According to our sources inside Woodley’s camp, the UFC has offered him a fight with Jorge Masvidal at UFC 215 in August. Jorge Masvidal lost a controversial split decision to Demian Maia in a fight where he wasn’t hit at all. Masvidal vs. Woodley will likely be the co-main event for the summer card. More Info coming soon.
