We were first to report last month that Conor McGregor will be taking a year away from MMA, but we have learned that it’s not what everyone originally expected. If he wins the title from Eddie Alvarez on saturday night, Conor will have fought 5 times in a calendar year earning him time away from the game. But he will not give up his belts, he will be going after another belt.
Boxing Legend Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. retired after winning his 49th bout versus Andre Berto. There has been much speculation on when he will return and against who. Over the weekend Floyd attended the Manny Pacquiao vs. Jessie Vargas fight and he has recently began sparring and training again.
We caught up with Floyd and members of the “Money Team” who told us that Floyd is back. Floyd says “The world will be turned upside down on Saturday night”. We weren’t able to get anymore information out of Floyd Mayweather himself but a member from the money team tells us that the boxer is headed to New York City and will be front row for UFC 205 for the Conor McGregor vs. Eddie Alvarez title fight.
Apparently Floyd Mayweather has worked out a deal with Dana White, Conor McGregor and the new owners and will step into the cage if Conor wins Saturday night and challenged Conor to a Boxing match.
