UFC Is Trying To FORCE Tony Ferguson To Defend His Belt Vs. Khabib.

UFC Interim Lightweight champion Tony Ferguson was promised a shot at the real belt versus Conor McGregor for his next match after winning his title versus Kevin Lee a few months ago. Today we have learned that the UFC is strong arming Ferguson into defending his belt on a few weeks notice versus Khabib Nurmagomedov on the December 30th PPV card. Apparently Tony is being told that Conor only wants Nate Diaz, Khabib Nurmagomedov in Russia or he will go back to Boxing for a match up with Canelo Alvarez or Manny Pacquiao. The UFC is willing to give Khabib a shot at Conor before Tony because it will sell better in Russia but only if he can get past Edson Barboza. But the UFC wants to replace that fight with a title fight between Tony and Khabib to help sell the event and give Tony a chance to win the McGregor sweepstakes or else he’s out. Today they put the pressure on him in the media by way of Daniel Cormier, check it out.

So I walk into the gym today and @khabib_nurmagomedov walks up and says the @Ufc is wanting to make me vs @tonyfergusonxt for dec 30. They wanna make the card bigger for end of the year. Then he tells me that tony is saying no to the fight. Come on Tony, that ain’t gangsta bruh. Take the fight man!!!! And by the way Ufc says tony won’t ever fight Conor so that’s not an option. The fans really want it. Come on My friend, hit him with that low single u always talk about. #khabibchamp #weareaka
